THEATER RENTAL

The Miles Memorial Playhouse charter, as approved by the City Council states that the Miles Memorial Playhouse is only available to non-profit organizations presenting performing arts (music, theater, and dance) that is open to the public and appropriate for youth. ("Youth" is defined as toddler through college.) We are also available for performing arts related rehearsals and readings. (when space allows)

The Playhouse is booked 6 MONTHS IN ADVANCE. Proposals for calendar months February - July must be received no later than the third Friday in SEPTEMBER. All proposals received by this day will receive priority consideration for February - July of the following year. They will be opened, reviewed and applicants will be notified of acceptance or denial by the end of September. Proposals for calendar months August - January must be received no later than the third Friday in March. All proposals received by this day will receive priority consideration for August - January of the coming year. They will be opened reviewed and applicants will be notified of acceptance or denial by the end of March. Please allow the widest range of possible dates for your production within those time frames.

We DO NOT rent the playhouse for private events such as weddings, bat mitzvah's, benefits, fundraisers, birthday parties or social clubs.

We DO NOT rent the playhouse to "For Profit" entities or producers.

Rental Rates are divided as follows:

Weekend Evenings:
Weekend Evening rentals are Thursday - Sunday nights with a show time of 6pm or later. Weekend rentals include 25 hours of free load-in / tech / rehearsal time. Load-ins usually occur on the Monday prior to opening.

Weekend Matinees:
Weekend Matinee rentals are geared for the toddler and pre-teen audiences. You may have up to two shows per day but shows must be an hour or less and be clear of the theater by 4:00 P.M.

Single Weekend Evening:
A single night rental Thursday - Sunday evening.

Single Weekend Matinee:
A single Saturday or Sunday afternoon rental.
